Sahar Moradi

Specialist in General Medicine

I have worked as a doctor since 2006 and over the years I have built up a broad experience in somatics, psychiatry and general practice. I have worked in oncology departments, geriatrics and in both Danish and Swedish practices, and for several years I have been affiliated with a specialized department for eating disorders. This has given me a solid professional ballast - but just as much a deep understanding of people's vulnerability, strengths and different living conditions.

Working with some of the most vulnerable patients has taught me the importance of calm, presence and a listening approach. I am particularly interested in creating safe conversations where the patient feels seen and met as the whole person they are. I thrive in the great variety in general practice, where you follow patients through acute care, chronic illness and life changes - and where the relationship over time makes a real difference.

I have experience with motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy and interdisciplinary collaboration, and I enjoy teaching and supervising both junior doctors and students. I am a member of DSAM and FYAM and committed to staying professionally updated.

I came to Denmark as a child and have since moved effortlessly between several cultures and languages. For me, it is a great joy to meet patients from different backgrounds at eye level and build bridges through clear and respectful communication.

In my spare time, I exercise, practice yoga and spend time with my family.
